Where you are
This site started out as a place to explore what it feels like to have ADHD but of course (if you know you know)–it’s ended up being about everything under the sun.
We can talk about anything we think here–without masking.
There’s been too much of that for too long: Hiding our light under a barrel not only diminishes the one hiding, but the world as a whole.
Welcome.
Some ideas about ADHD
*Everybody experiences all the traits that people with ADHD experience, but to a lessen extent.
*ADHD challenges arise both because ADHDers points of view and styles are a mismatch with cultural norms and because they can be inherently hard to handle.
*Many experts dislike the term Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder because most people with ADHD do not have a deficit of attention but, in fact, pay too much attention to too many things at once! Not only that, but not everybody with ADHD is hyperactive.
Beyond the very real challenges of ADHD is a person who’s likely to be bright, creative, innovative, compassionate, authentic, and intuitive.
